Dolores lays on the couch, cigarette in hand. The ashes fall onto the cushion and burn holes into the fabric, searing it.
Cackles of children wake her up from the other room. She rises and fixes herself a drink to take onto the patio. Her kaftan whips in the breeze, tightening itself against her fleshiness.
Another cigarette finds itself between her fingers.
